MAWE Accepted into the Tech Side Hustle Program!

We are excited to announce that MAWE has been accepted into the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium's (EEC) Tech Side Hustle Program! On February 23rd, we attended the Tech Side Hustle Fall '23 Graduation and Spring '24 Kick-off event at Case Western Reserve University's Sears think[Box]. The event was a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication of fellow student entrepreneurs, and it was an afternoon filled with inspiration, networking, and opportunities to connect.

The EEC Tech Side Hustle is a comprehensive part-time accelerator designed to foster entrepreneurial skills among college students. The initiative, which spans the academic semester, includes three workshops led by industry experts covering essential topics for aspiring entrepreneurs. Additionally, participants benefit from biweekly meetings with expert entrepreneurs-in-residence, who provide personalized guidance and insights throughout the program. Participants who meet program requirements can access up to $3,000 in funding for essential, approved business expenses. This support is invaluable as we continue to develop and refine our innovative solutions.

We are thrilled to be part of this dynamic program and look forward to leveraging the resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities provided by the EEC Tech Side Hustle. This is a significant step forward for MAWE as we continue our mission to create culturally informed technology solutions for haircare, fashion, and household appliances for African immigrants in the US.

Thank you to the EEC for this incredible opportunity. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments from MAWE!
