We are thrilled to announce that MAWE Technology has completed the ICorps program!
The U.S. National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) program was launched to support NSF's mission through experiential learning using the customer discovery process—allowing teams to quickly assess their inventions' market potential. I-Corps prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory to increase the economic and societal impact of NSF-funded and other basic research projects.
Through the ICorps program, our team successfully conducted customer discovery, allowing us to accurately identify our customers and efficiently articulate our value proposition. We also conducted our competitive and market sizing analyses, which have been instrumental in developing our business model canvas.
The Innovation Corps Program (I-Corps) has had a significant impact on more than 150 entrepreneurial teams and 630 individual participants, all of whom have completed UARF's 7-week I-Corps program. This program leverages direct customer interactions to validate business ideas, providing participants with invaluable training, mentorship, and accountability. To date, I-Corps graduates have launched 72 new businesses.
We are proud to be part of this esteemed group of innovators and look forward to leveraging the insights and skills we have gained through the ICorps program to further our mission of creating culturally informed technology solutions for haircare, fashion, and household appliances for African immigrants in the US.
Thank you to the ICorps program for this transformative experience. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments from MAWE Technology!
