Stanley Nketiah


Stanley Adinkrah Nketiah is a dedicated and accomplished Mechanical Engineering major at Northeastern University, also pursuing a minor in Computer Science. His academic journey includes a foundational year at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai, where he honed his skills in Engineering Design Technology and MATLAB. At Northeastern, his coursework spans Differential Equations, Thermodynamics, Dynamics, and more, underpinning his strong engineering acumen. Stanley's technical skills are diverse, encompassing applications like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and Adobe After Effects, alongside programming languages such as C++, Python, Arduino, and MATLAB. His fabrication skills include 3D printing and lathe operation, reflecting his hands-on experience in mechanical engineering projects.


Among his notable projects is the design and fabrication of a six-degree-of-freedom robot arm, utilizing Fusion 360 and FDM printing technology. He also played a critical role in the NURobotics Robot Dog project, machining actuator components with high precision and designing a custom battery pack for continuous operation. His collaborative spirit shone through in a museum exhibit project, where he and his team created an award-winning Arduino-powered car exhibit simulating dynamic driving conditions.


Stanley's work experience includes a role as a Peer Tutor at Northeastern University, where he provided exceptional instruction in Calculus and Differential Equations, earning high ratings and repeat bookings. During a summer internship at Mantrac in Ghana, he demonstrated his practical engineering skills by diagnosing and repairing machinery and assembling earth-moving equipment.


Additionally, Stanley is committed to community service, as evidenced by his successful fundraising efforts for the Adjamesu School in Ghana, which resulted in a renovated school and a fully equipped computer lab. Stanley's multifaceted skills, academic excellence, and dedication to engineering and community service make him a standout member of MAWE.
